The 02 Dome October 2008
Approaching and inside the main entrance to The 02 Dome October 2008 The 02 is very impressive as you approach from the River Thames. Even more so once inside, you get an idea how large it is from the second photo showing the two people walking in from the right hand side. The BMW car grill and part bonnet stood out no matter where you stood inside the entrance and was a pleasure to photograph. Walking through The 02 was a strain on the eyes going from light to dark many times, with flashing lights. Luckily not to many people around so taking photographs nota problem. Hope you like the ones I took and please comment.

St Katharine's Dock London Near Tower Bridge 2008
Taken in 2008 on my visit to London, the photo was taken in St Katharine's dock to the east of Tower Bridge, there are steps leading to the dock from the bridge, or a long walk down by the road leading to the River Thames. Starbucks coffee shop is on a small island and can be very busy. If visiting one can see many old sailing vessels which in their day traded on the Thames itself, I have no idea what it cost to live around the dock, so visiting is a nicer and cheaper alternative. There are many excellent restaurants and shops within the dock area. I was there in November 2012 and it's still the same, apart from different vessels shown in this photograph.

Blackfriars Baynard's Castle London 2008
Plaque found on a riverside walk near and to the east of Blackfriars bridge London, all I saw was a glimpse of bright blue through the foliage, pinning back the plants I took the photo and replaced the foliage as it was.
Looking on the internet this is what I found
Baynard's Castle - Wikipedia, the free Encyclopedia
Hope the link helps.

Just off the Embankment London 2008
These stairs and escalator are just off the Thames Embankment, I stood and wait a very long time to get this photo with no one in the shot, it was taken on the 26th October 2008 at 13:06. But waiting and patience paid off. I wanted nothing in the photo to say where it is.

London Eye as seen through window of a London River Bus
October 2008 on the River Thames looking across and back at the London Eye as seen through the window of a London River bus, I love the reflection in this photograph and until I looked at it closely did not see just how many reflection there were.

London Eye October 2008 Looking up at them Looking Down.
This photo was taken at the same time as the last one on a sunny day in October 2008 midd afternoon at the London Eye.
I have been up on the Eye but due to my disabilities had to be seated in the middle of the pod, so photos were not an option for me, I had to sit there hearing cameras clicking away, not the best feeling in the world.
None of the party I was with would go on with me at the time, so I asked a family if they would be my carer for a trip which allowed that one person to go free as the person caring for me does not pay, but I do. So everything worked out just fine.

Another photograph of the London Eye October 2008
Photograph taken on the 27th October 2008 mid afternoon, I should explain the photos I am now posting are ones I forgot about due to illness, and now after nearly five years would like to share with you. I love taking photos showing only part of a structure or building, seeing nearly everyone takes the whole thing, I love the pods just hanging from the sides giving the impression they could drop off at anytime. Please enjoy and comment as you see fit.

Tower of London October 2008
Tower bridge London 2008 photo from the embankment side on a cold grey day. Like most people do I did not want the whole bridge just the beautiful curved wrought iron work leading to one of the two towers itself. You would see the same looking from the other side of the river Thames. I think Tower Brigade looks better photographed in sections, just my opinion.

River Thames 2008 Seagull
It's nice to rest my wings whilst the river Thames flows past beneath me. Taken in 2008 in London the small part of the bridge the seagull resting on leads to St Paul's. Made a change to photograph something other then a London tourist site.

Flight over London
Looked up saw this and thought why not. taken in London closer to o2 looking towards Canary Wharf on a clear sunny day in 2008 funny what you find and keep in your photo collection. We went inside the o2 and a few photos will be posted later the building was far bigger then I had envisaged.

Police launch On the River Thames London
Police launch on the river Thames in London this photo was taken a few years ago and being in London a few weekends back made me remember it as I watched another police launch cruising the river.
This visit we enjoyed afternoon tea in Harrods was lovely for Pat and I to be spoilt along with two friends. However Christmas shopping in Hamleys toy shop with it's five floors is not my idea of fun.
