John O' Groats and Dunnet Head

John O' Groats was the first port of call today, we drove straight to the area due to the distance and the fact I wanted to visit Dunnet Head the most northerly point of the UK mainland. A lot of people think it's John O' Groats, however that is not true it certainly is Dunnet Head.

The first 8 photos are at John O' Groats and the last 3 Dunnet Head this as indeed a memorable and extreamly long day.

The highlands of Scotland June 2013 part 2

The tree photos of the ducks were taken before leaving Dores, and driving along the side of Loch Ness towards Fort Augustus. The drive alongside Loch Ness was on a very narrow road and the only stopping place which was safe enough to take more photographs was at a place called Foyers. The thee photographs in woods were taken from a small but rather steep pathway, which I sadly could not venture down. The last photograph was taken at Fort Augustus were the road crosses the River Oich showing the old bridge support. The River Oich runs along side the Caledonian Cannel, which will be my next posting.

The 02 Dome October 2008

Approaching and inside the main entrance to The 02 Dome October 2008 The 02 is very impressive as you approach from the River Thames.  Even more so once inside, you get an idea how large it is from the second photo showing the two people walking in from the right hand side.  The BMW car grill and part bonnet stood out no matter where you stood inside the entrance and was a pleasure to photograph. Walking through The 02 was a strain on the eyes going from light to dark many times, with flashing lights. Luckily not to many people around so taking photographs nota problem. Hope you like the ones I took and please comment.

London Eye as seen through window of a London River Bus

October 2008 on the River Thames looking across and back at the London Eye as seen through the window of a London River bus,  I love the reflection in this photograph and until I looked at it closely did not see just how many reflection there were.

London Eye October 2008 Looking up at them Looking Down.

This photo was taken at the same time as the last one on a sunny day in October 2008 midd afternoon at the London Eye.
I have been up on the Eye but due to my disabilities had to be seated in the middle of the pod, so photos were not an option for me, I had to sit there hearing cameras clicking away, not the best feeling in the world.
None of the party I was with would go on with me at the time, so I asked a family if they would be my carer for a trip which allowed that one person to go free as the person caring for me does not pay, but I do. So everything worked out just fine.

Another photograph of the London Eye October 2008

Photograph taken on the 27th October 2008 mid afternoon, I should explain the photos I am now posting are ones I forgot about due to illness, and now after nearly five years would like to share with you. I love taking photos showing only part of a structure or building, seeing nearly everyone takes the whole thing, I love the pods just hanging from the sides giving the impression they could drop off at anytime. Please enjoy and comment as you see fit.

Dover Castle in Clouds 2112 July

Dover Castle through the clouds. You could see the cloud getting closer and closer to the castle and I was expecting it to clear but it just started covering the castle and gave this eerie view.

Glasgow Scotland May 2010

Hello all, sorry have not posted photos for a while mainly down to ill health, but am well on road to recovery.  I hope you still pop along to view these photos of Glasgow I have not posted before. This set show the bridges crossing the river Clyde in Glasgow just down from Argyle Street, also the Commemorative Stone of the Cheapside Fire Disaster found on the river side, plus reflections from a modern glass building and a roof top Peacock.
