The highlands of Scotland June 2013 part 2

The tree photos of the ducks were taken before leaving Dores, and driving along the side of Loch Ness towards Fort Augustus. The drive alongside Loch Ness was on a very narrow road and the only stopping place which was safe enough to take more photographs was at a place called Foyers. The thee photographs in woods were taken from a small but rather steep pathway, which I sadly could not venture down. The last photograph was taken at Fort Augustus were the road crosses the River Oich showing the old bridge support. The River Oich runs along side the Caledonian Cannel, which will be my next posting.

Mallard ducks look the same the world over and I wonder just how much of the world they visit on their migrations . . . The sleepy path looks very inviting. Looks like that was once quite a large bridge.

Every post of your photos makes me wish for another trip to Britain. Monsters or not, Loch Ness is a beautiful place.
