Taken on sunny winters day in February 2015 a few view of the River Hull and River Humber from The Deep. The River Hull is the smaller of the two.

Shillingford Bridge Oxfordshire September 2013

This was our last day in Oxfordshire September 2013 I just lazed about taking what I thought were good photos, if you visit my blog hope you think so too! From the hotel this was the view every day, out front and our bedroom window. 

Blenheim Palace 2nd September 2013

Blenheim Palace at Woodstock Oxfordshire is stunning with fantastic grounds and gardens, however having walking difficulties made it hard to get around, due to some paths being laid with the large stones or gravel used as a base, also long walks to find disabled toilets. Also I must point out that £36 is a lot for two people to pay, well in my opinion it was! One visit was enough for my wife and I. However do not let me put you off your opinions and views could be totally different and encouraging.

Priory Church Beauly Scotland June 2013

The ruins of Priory Church can be found in the village of Beauly 12 miles outside Inverness. The ruins of the Priory Church are so peaceful to walk round and the varying colours of the stones walls are amazing like a patch worked quilt. This was the place to relax and enjoy a few hours of tranquility.

Drive Beauly to Ullapool June 2013

On Friday the 21st June 2013 we drove from Beauly along the A835 to Ullapool on the far west coast of Scotland. Ullapool has one main street and everyone was photographing just that street, looking round I took the first three photos in this blog, they are all taken from that one main street, houses and shops one side fantastic scenery the other, I chose the scenery.

We followed the A835 till we met the A837 to the A386, the weather being low cloud stopped me form taking photographs untilA836 where 4th and 5th photos were taken close to the junction between the A837 and A836. I have no idea what this building is called, however I have reason it is a youth hostel.

The 6th and 7th photos were taken at Bonar Bridge. The last photo was taken on the roadside of the A836 about 10 miles south of Bonar Bridge, I just loved the look of this run down barn/barns. We then joined the A9 back to Inverness and home to Beauly. A long, Long Day!    

A journey to Skye over the mountains June 2013

The journey lasted three hours from Beauly to Skye over the mountains following the A835 then joining the A832 towards the Kyle of Lochalsh. Sorry only six photos but the weather kept closing in and photographs had to be taken when the weather allowed. The first two photos were taken between Loch Luchart looking towards Loch Fannich. The third and fourth are of Lochcarron as you can see one minute clear and the next raining hard. There are none of Skye due to dense fog but we did cross the bridge. We then followed the A87 until we reached Eilean Donan Castle just after the road crosses Loch Long near Dornie and again the weather cleared, I took two photos and if you look closely the first shows dark clouds and the second brighter and within minutes rain poured down and my camera was again put away. The drive back to Beauly was through rain and fog along the Old Military Road and the River Shiel, then following Loch Ness north towards Beauly near Inverness. The whole journey took some 9 hours.
