A study in Black and White

A few photos that I took in black and white, the first six taken in Dover 2014, the last three in Oxfordshire 2013.

This was our last day in Oxfordshire September 2013 I just lazed about taking what I thought were good photos, if you visit my blog hope you think so too! From the hotel this was the view every day, out front and our bedroom window. 

The Shillingford Bridge Ducks Oxfordshire 2013

This was our last day at Stilling Bridge in Oxfordshire, and I thought it was time to photograph the ducks that came everyday to feed on the grass on the banks of the River Thames, being around people all the time they would walk right up to you, but I never fed them I water to watch them to look for food feeding themselves.

 Return to Shillingford Bridge these views are just below the hotel, I spent hours just sitting by the river watching the views change. A return visit is on the cards for the future! All the photos were taken from exactly the same spot.

Blenheim Palace 2nd September 2013 Part 2

The second part of Blenheim takes place around the grounds and buildings, the last three photos are all in an area called The Secret Garden which was not that easy to find, and entailed a long walk, that took its toll on me and a long rest was required.  The photo of the Crest was taken in the coffee shop looking into the gift shop.

Blenheim Palace 2nd September 2013

Blenheim Palace at Woodstock Oxfordshire is stunning with fantastic grounds and gardens, however having walking difficulties made it hard to get around, due to some paths being laid with the large stones or gravel used as a base, also long walks to find disabled toilets. Also I must point out that £36 is a lot for two people to pay, well in my opinion it was! One visit was enough for my wife and I. However do not let me put you off your opinions and views could be totally different and encouraging. 

This set has five photos outside in the ground and nine within the palace.
