A festival of steam at the Pickering Traction Engine Steam Rally in August this year, Pickering is in North Yorkshire and one of the gateways to the North Yorkshire Moors and home of the famous Steam Train from Pickering to Whitby.Below is just a few of the steam engines taken that day, the ones shown are just being fired up ready to roll around the show ground, I will post pics of them later.

I came across this carving in the grounds of Burton Agnes Hall, there are about 9 in all, the others will be posted on my return in about three days from today. It looks as if the wood could be ply and the carvings coloured to simulate bronze. You need to click on the photo to see it at it's best and read the words.
