The inside of Howden Minster turned out to be a beautiful surprise, quite small for a minster but so nice, the big red banner was the first thing I saw and then the stunning stained glass windows, I must have had my eyes shut not to have noticed them before the banner.
The glass so I understand was made in Belguim I was told that is the reason for them retaining such vivid colours or colors. Sorry there are only six photos this was due to a private service taking place and i did not want to spoil the service with the click, click, click of my camera.
If you wish to make the photo of the eagle bigger you will see a face in the ball the eagle has it's claws around, it is just a face of someone watching me taking the photo.
I saw this on the walls of Howden Minster, for people who do not know this area of the UK the small town of Howden is near to the town of Goole, follow the river Humber up stream from the city of Kingston upon Hull. Or just Goggle Howden UK, also on Goole Earth.
More of the Minster will be posted later a few will be of the beautiful stained glass windows from inside.
The last photo has some red in but there you go! it's never perfect all the time, make the photos bigger to see reflections in more detail.
The bikes were parked up in Skegness on a sunny day, the first photo was a bike on it's own, I just loved the reflection in the rear break light. The last three are the same bike. If you click on the pictures you will see just how well these bikes are kept by their owners.
Some Blue and Yellow photos from Skegness in the UK taken April this year.
Blair Drummond is about 20 minutes from the Falkirk Wheel and 10 minutes from Stirling on a good day , the five photos show two birds of prey, one Hawk one Volture then a Marmoset and two groups of Lions. The Hawk and Volture were the only two photos taken in the open, the Mormoset was behind glass and the Lions from inside my car. The Penguins, Zebra and Reindeer were all taken from overhead or ground level walkways and from a safe distance for the safety of the animals.
The eight photos show a complete turn of the Falkirk Wheel taking craft from the FORTH & CLYDE canal at the top down to the basen leading to the UNION canal below.
It was dark and wet day, sometimes.
