Dungeness Lights Houses Power Station and RHDR Trains

These photos were taken in June 2014 within the area of Dungeness B Nuclear Power Station and the terminus for the trains run by Romney Hythe & Dymchurch Railway. The terminus includes a small restaurant after the drive across the marshes. It is the Smallest Public Railway in the World! The one photographed is the Captain Howey!

The two lighthouses are close to each other the darker of the two nearest the power station, this was a wonderful day out and I shall be going back. Memories from my childhood again when very little of this was even thought of, David Copperfield by Charles Dickens comes to mind.

A day at Kilnsea and Spurn 3rd July 2010

This was the day I fell from the sand dunes and hurt all my left side and knees, look at the first photograph of the light house and the road in that photograph is the road I landed on. The first three photos are from Kilnsea and shows the erosion of the coast. Kilnsea is where you turn right to drive to Spurn along a narrow strip of sand with the dunes above and to the side of you, in places it is nice to see on one side the North Sea and on the other the River Humber. The other where the old light house is the River Humber, and the men fishing in the North Sea....This can all be seen clearly on Google Earth.... 

OUR JOURNEY TO SPURN POINT CONTINUES TO THE END

We have arrived at Spurn Point and this is the final part of this collection, you will see shells, old tyres, lighthouses old and new well the one that is working, At the end of the jetty's two pilot boats and in one you can just see the Life-Boat, and some old ladders going no-where.
