The last photo is of the clippers in the river Humber maneuvering and getting ready to start the race at 14:00 on Sunday the 13Th taken from the river side at the entrance to King George Dock...
The clippers will return to the river Humber July 2010 to finish the race.....
The vessel One Hull did not take part....

Now this is an exciting post! I love all sorts of sailing ships...not that I am a sailor myself, but the look of them....and of course I noticed the California! I'll have to do a little online research to find out more about it. All these photos are great, Brian. And I like that last shot especially well.
Wow! That's very exciting. What fun it must have been to see the clippers and watch them maneuver around. I agree with Sara that the last shot is great: it evokes a sense of that excitement before the race begins.
