Lisbon or Lisboa May - June Cruise 2011

 We are still in the City centre for the first 11 photos the remaining 8 photos are close to the river Tagus and in the area known as Belem this is where Vasco da Gama set sail for the New World. The photos shown are of the Maritime Museum and grounds close to the Monument of the Discoveries which will be my next blog situated on the banks of the Tagus river!!

Wonderful old architecture. I'm trying to figure out that structure in the second photo. I have never seen anything quite like it.

Sailing ships always call to something in me; I don't know why. But I love the way they look.

Hi Sara, the second photo and the forth are of the Santa Justa Elevator in Lisbon and the Large statue of Christ on the top of the hill in the blog before was a present from the people of Brazil...
Yes sailing ships always call to me too, I see them and grab for my camera's.
